Automated QA
(
)
An effective digital archive ensures high data and metadata quality with minimal human involvement. As such, most Archives aim to automate as many Quality Assurance (QA) steps as feasible. Common automated checks include file format characterisation and validation, metadata extraction, virus checks, file and package integrity checks. Archives often aim to run first a comprehensive set of automated QA tasks, and only carry out Manual QA for objects that fail in one or another automated task.
